Protections make the player's PC do only what you allow, and keep devices clean between sessions.
Quick client settings
From Configuration → Client → Security:
- Disable the Start menu.
- Sticky Shell: prevents closing the client with Alt+F4.
- Block window switching: disables Alt+Tab and Win+Tab.
Protection profiles
In Settings → Protections you can create a protection profile for each device group (or for all devices). Protections applied to the device:
| Protection | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hide the taskbar | The player doesn't see the Windows taskbar. |
| Block the desktop | The player can't reach the desktop. |
| Block Task Manager | Disables Task Manager and Ctrl+Alt+Del. |
| Block Windows log off | The player can't log off. |
| Disable Start menu, Sticky Shell, block window switching | Same as the client settings above. |
In Windows mode the PC stays open for use, so pick the protections that fit the group type.
After each session
In the client settings, choose what happens when a session ends: log out, restart, or shut down. Restarting with a disk restore system returns the PC clean for the next player.
