Automate console TVs with Sonoff

PlayStations have no client program, so control happens through the TV's power: when the session starts, the TV turns on, and when it ends, the TV turns off. This works with a smart Sonoff switch connected to your eWeLink account.

Before you start

• A Sonoff switch for each TV, added in the eWeLink app on your phone.
• A free developer account at dev.ewelink.cc to get an App ID and App Secret.

Connecting

1. In Devices, open eWeLink Settings.
2. Enter the App ID and App Secret, plus your eWeLink account email and password.
3. Choose the region (eu for Egypt and Europe) and the country code (+20 for Egypt).
4. Click Test connection.

Link each PlayStation to its switch

1. Add or edit the device and set Type = PlayStation.
2. A Sonoff ID field appears. Click Discover and choose the switch from the list.
3. Save. From now on, the TV turns on when the session starts and turns off when it ends or at checkout.
